the goal is/was to have a full stable of writers for each team (a realdirty mets for each team if you will) and then a main site for basic news. It honestly seems the goal is dying for all but the Mets but I'm gonna give it through this season.

True, but we have seen crazier things happen before. For a team like the giants, who are stacked with pitchers, to give up a guy like a sanchez or a bumgarner for not only there future shortstop, but leadoff man for years to come, you have to give some to get some. Obviously it all plays in to if they can sign him, but if they can, that would be a smart move. But i understand your point as well.

I just don't see any team giving up a top tier pitching prospect or an established ML arm (young, decent) for a half year rental of Reyes.

Brad Lidge and his injury history is almost as bad as Moises Alou - only Alou had more talent.

So let's see...along with Lidge they're missing they're RH power bat (Werth), their replacment RF rookie is on the shelf with a broken bone, Utley isn't making it back anytime soon and Polanco's surgically repaired elbow is giving him trouble.

I don't care how good your starting pitching is. That will get you far in a short series but in a 162 game season? They're not all going to pitch complete game shutouts.

Can't wait for the season to begin.
